Maine Camping- Suggested clothing for Maine camping:
- The weather can vary dramatically in May. We suggest a range of options including layered clothing such as long underwear, turtleneck shirts, a sweatshirt, flannel shirt or sweater, a polar fleece or winter jacket, plus short sleeve shirts and shorts for those warmer days. Maine Camping in June typically brings warm days with a chill still possible in early June evenings. For about the first two weeks of June, also expect black flies. Bring the same clothing as in May, but there is no need for long underwear or a heavy coat. Daytime temperatures in July and August range from 70-90 degrees. Shorts, jeans or slacks and a T-shirt with a sweater or sweatshirt are recommended. September brings warm days, turning somewhat chilly in the evening. During the last two weeks of September, nights may go down to the 40's. In early October, the days will still be fairly warm, but bring long underwear and a warm jacket plus a hat and gloves just in case.
- Pets:
- Pets are welcome at LEEN's. We do ask, however, that you have them on a leash when on the grounds and clean up after them. Owners are responsible for any damage that might occur as a result of their pet(s). Outside kennels are available.
- Liquor:
- We do not have a liquor license. Please feel free to bring along your favorite beverage to enjoy in the comfort of your cabin or in the relaxing atmosphere of our Tannery Room.
