You can also choose the type of guide experience that fits you best.
We offer fishing for smallmouth bass from fully equipped or aluminum bass boats, including all gear and tackle. Also, landlocked salmon and lake trout fishing is available from fully rigged aluminum boats that will hold two or more guests. These experiences offer the fisherman the latest technologies and techniques.
Our Grand Lake fishing guides are very traditional in their approach to fishing and fly fishing. They use wooden Grand Lake Stream canoes, cook shore lunches for their guests, and weave wonderful tales about the Maine wilderness. This is a Gentleman's fishing experience as it was in the good old days.
Plan on no more than two people per guide for safety reasons. Your guide will be happy to cook your lunch over an open fire. There's nothing like delicious salmon and lake trout, fried potatoes and guide's coffee after a morning of fishing. Please remember, once you have hired a fishing guide for specific days, you are obligated to pay for those days even if you decide that you do not want to go fishing.
All guides work independently of LEEN'S, and if you contact us, we can assist you in making the necessary guide arrangements for your fishing vacations.

- Including your fishing guide in your lunch plans. We can provide packed lunches from our dining room, from sandwiches to full cookout meals.
- Extra charges (i.e., bait, lures, etc. Extra guests in party, etc.)
- Type of fishing tackle needed or desired for fly fishing or for specific fish.
Each guide works independently of LEEN'S and handles things a bit differently. Please feel free to call your fishing guide the night before you are scheduled to discuss your plans and the above items.
